Federica Sabbati European Heating Industry

Federica Sabbati is Secretary General of the European Heating Industry, the Brussels-based association representing the interests of European companies which are market leaders of energy efficient and renewable-based heating solutions for residential and industrial sectors.
Federica came to Brussels in 1997, initially working in the European Parliament for the young European liberals . In 2000, she joined Liberal International , a London-based worldwide organization grouping liberal political parties from across the world, of which she became Secretary General in 2002. She later went on to work for The Coca-Cola Company as European Affairs Manager in Brussels, representing the company in the EU legislative process, including being responsible for Corporate Social Responsibility issues.
From 2007 until 2012, Federica was Secretary General of the European Liberal Democrat and Reform Party (now named Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party – ALDE Party ), the party representing liberal democrat values in Europe, based in Brussels.
Federica holds a university degree in International Relations from the University of Trieste (Gorizia base), Italy, and a Master’s Degree in Russian and Post-Soviet Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She also completed a post-graduate specialization course in Communication and Advertising at Universita’ Cattolica of Milan, Italy.
A pro-European, she is a Member of the Board of the European Movement International where she chaired the task force in charge of designing the pro-Europe campaign “1,000 reasons to vote for Europe” in view of the European Elections 2014. She regularly holds extracurricular classes for high school students in Trieste, Italy, about European integration
