Brian Johnson has been writing on the highs and lows of the Brussels political scene for more than a decade. He began his media career as an editorial assistant in Scotland working on the widely acclaimed Holyrood and Parliament Magazine titles. In 2002, he moved to Brussels to establish the Parliament Magazine office in the EU capital. His editorial style helped it become recognised as the publication “for MEPs, by MEPs”. On the back of this success, he helped established the Parliament Magazine’s EU events business, most notably the widely regarded Parliament Magazine annual ‘MEP of the Year’ awards. Brian is managing editor and leader writer for the Parliament Magazine. He lives in La Hulpe with his wife, three children and is - for the time being – a UK citizen.
